Simple user experience

The Mio C250 is a fully featured device built around a user friendly interface, making it the perfect device for those new to satellite navigation and GPS. With a touch-screen interface and Mio’s latest predictive and intuitive navigation software – MioMap version 3 – finding and navigating to a destination has never been easier. The C250 even has a help section with explanations of features and functions. The multi-lingual C250 provides clear visual and audio instructions.

Easy navigation

Users can enter a full postcode for door to door navigation. Navigating without postcodes is just as easy - as each letter of an address is entered, the C250 narrows down the options into a list so the user can simply identify their destination. Navigating to work or home is even more straightforward - once these addresses have been stored in the device, pressing the work or home button starts the C250 navigating directly to your door. For detailed journey planning, the C250 provides a step by step overview which the user can review and amend before setting off. If the journey is to be completed on foot, the C250 is small enough to be used as a handheld device in pedestrian mode.

Thousands of Points of Interest (POIs) - including restaurants, petrol stations and other local attractions - can be searched for by name, category or location for easy navigation to local facilities. Many POIs also have telephone numbers so you can call ahead and additional POIs can be downloaded from the web and added via the USB lead.

Speed (Safety) camera warnings

A number of key safety features have been built in to the C250, including a database of safety camera locations with free downloadable updates for the first year and the ability for users to enter additional, new safety camera locations. Users are given an audio and visual warning as they approach a safety camera location.

The C250 also provides an indication of the speed limit on the current road and the user can set up audio and visual warnings should this be exceeded.

Avoiding traffic congestion

With support for the Traffic Messaging Channel (TMC) system, the C250 is the perfect device to help drivers avoid congestion. With an optional TMC receiver plugged in, the C250 will receive live updates of traffic problems and hotspots and automatically plan a new route to avoid problem areas.

No performance compromise

With the latest SiRFstarIII GPS receiver, a 400 MHz processor and touch screen destination entry, the C250 offers performance and functionality previously only found in devices twice the cost. Yet it is compact enough to be carried in a coat pocket or hand bag and weighs only 110g. The C250 has a crystal clear 3.5” LCD screen supporting 65,000 colours and runs on a built-in Lithium battery which provide over 4.5 hours of navigation on foot with the backlight on and GPS function at full power. An in- car charger provides the C250 with power when the user is on the road.
